Pigi hails originally from Samoa with a humble upbringing in Kalihi, O’ahu. She has spent her lifetime being an artist drawing and sketching, using her creativity to serve her culture, family, and friends. She is currently in her second year as a full-time apprentice and specializes in Contemporary Polynesian Tattoos.

“Pigi is such a blessing to our team. She has such a bright future in the tattoo industry and I’m excited to see where she takes her talents. It’s not everyday you find a mature and aspiring apprentice. She doesn’t take the opportunity for granted, utilizes her down time with patience and creativity and is consistently getting better. She also has contributed to how the shop functions as a whole, which contributes to what makes her a great team player. Her upbringing makes her knowledge authentic, not from a book, something that is hard to find in Polynesian tattoos today. The things that are Fa’asamoa is a knowledge base that was already there before she came under my wing. So the patterns, and poetry behind the art is easy for her, and again, authentic. She also works hard, shows up, with no excuses. I know she’ll last in this industry and make a special mark of her own.”
